About ABAKUS Internet Marketing GmbH

Over nine years experience in search engine marketing and optimization. Author of SEO articles and moderator on several SEO/SEM forums. Although an Englishman, Alan lives and works in Hannover, Germany.

Previously employed as online marketing manager for a large German communications company and before that as online marketing manager for a large German insurance brokerage. Alan Webb formed ABAKUS Internet Marketing in the fourth quarter of 2002.

Training and/or Education

Alan Webb holds the Financial Planning Certificate and since 2000 has studied search engine algorithms and gained a great deal of valuable search engine marketing experience. Certified by the BVDW (German umbrella organisation for search engine marketing).

Website and/or Graphic Design Experience

The ABAKUS website was designed and programmed in its entirety by Alan. Alan holds thorough HTML programming skills combined with more than basic PHP, Perl, ASP and JavaScript skills.

Technical Experience

Experienced particularly in advanced SEO technology such as flattening dynamic URLs (removing query strings through mod_rewrite) and optimizing traditionally difficult to optimize websites such as those that are mainly Flash or graphic intensive or are dynamic and CMS based. Uses advanced techniques such as mod_rewrite, ISAPI filters and PHP URL rewriting plus other proprietary techniques.
