Of our twenty staff: Eight have worked in search advertising for more than four years. In 1997 our Director Lucy Cokes wrote a thesis entitled "The use of search engines as a research tool", and worked for a number of online marketing companies before setting up Neutralize (*\*) in 1999. Her co-director Edward Cowell became interested in the industry while working at MSN UK in 1996.

Our entire pay per click team have passed the Google Advertising Professionals exam, and in their spare time maintain the global directory of Google Advertising Professionals (http://www.whoisagap.com/).

Neutralize (*\*) run a content management system vendor programme (CMSVP) designed to fill the requirements of high level technical optimisation projects at e-commerce and content management system level.

We have successfully optimised systems of all sizes from basic site editors or shopping carts to enterprise CMS's based on the following languages: HTML, PHP, ASP, JSP, C++ (publishing engines) and ColdFusion.

One of our strengths is being able to work well in conjunction with in-house or external developers on the implimentation of code and backend architecture changes for better performance in search engines.

We also have a number of proprietary tools un the 'Ascendex' name developed in house to help us analyze how your PPC or SEO campaigns are performing. Our Ascendex Site Checking tool is especially useful for large scale optimisation projects (>20,000 pages) performing the types of technical audits impossible to do manually.
