About the Consultant and/or Company

Doug Bates, M.B.A., M.S. is Aderit's principal and founder. He has been a marketing professional since 1986 serving in marketing management at Aquent, Signet, Providian Insurance, and The Franklin Mint.

Prior to the advent of the Internet, Doug specialized in direct marketing, principally in mail and telemarketing media, with an emphasis on test marketing, database marketing, statistical analysis and modeling.

As a test marketing specialist Doug began testing online media in 1996. In 1997 he switched his professional focus to Internet marketing. Between 1997 and 2000 he worked with several dot-com startups before managing online marketing for Aquent.

Doug has been a speaker on Internet marketing at conferences such as National Association of Broadcasters.

Training and/or Education

Doug graduated with honors in Psychology from Dartmouth College. He received his M.B.A. from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management, with distinction, concentrating in Marketing and Quantitative Methods. Doug also holds an M.S. in Organizational Theory from the University of Pennsylvania.

Web Site and/or Graphic Design Experience

Aderit is a marketing consultancy, not a web development agency. We work with your web designers and programmers to help your site achieve its marketing objectives through providing information architecture, design direction, and copy optimized for both search engines and customers. For search engine optimization and copy editing purposes we hand edit HTML code as needed.

Technical Experience

Statistical analysis, modeling, and forecasting, marketing financial analysis, website log file and user behavior analysis, information architecture, HTML editing, and advertising, SEO, and technical writing.
