About the Consultant and/or Company

Ephricon Web Marketing is owned and operated by Jon Payne, a respected Internet marketing consultant based in Baltimore, Maryland. Jon formed Ephricon in early 2003 after working as an Internet Marketing Specialist with a local Baltimore based marketing agency, as well as spending time in the e-Business Department of a Fortune 500 manufacturing firm.

Ephricon's primary services offering is organic search engine optimization, although the firm does also offer PPC management, web design and other supplemental services.

Training and/or Education

Jon Payne received his Bachelors Degree in Marketing and e-Business from Towson University, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Loyola College in Maryland. His academic interests include buyer behavior patterns and decision marketing (both online and offline), social impacts of the Internet, and general marketing strategies.

Web Site and/or Graphic Design Experience

Jon began his career in Internet marketing as a general purpose web designer, and transitioned to SEO after discovering it as a highly efficient means of generating leads for his freelance web design business. He is highly skilled in hand coding HTML, as well as utilizing WYSIWYG editors such as DreamWeaver and FrontPage. His graphic and layout design tool of choice is Macromedia Fireworks.

While the firm does have extensive design experience, we also frequently partner with other design firms that may have a particular specialty - such as Flash.
