About the Consultant and/or Company

Scott Hendison is the CEO of Search Commander, Inc. He is a former Portland computer store operator that built a local on-site service business through pay per click and organic search engine optimization.

In 2003, he started specializing in search marketing, and today serves clients in five countries, who find him on the front page of most search engines for "internet consultant" and related phrases.

Training and/or Education

Initially, in 2001, I started reading books and articles by industry experts such as Jill Whalen, Danny Sullivan and Bruce Clay.

I continue to read nearly ten hours a week of industry newsletters and blogs from websites such as SearchEngineWatch.com, Planet Ocean and many others.

In 2004 and 2005, I attended three separate sessions (over 80 hours) of training classes with John Alexander and Robin Nobles of the Search Engine Workshops. The Ultra Advanced classes there were taught by Jerry West, Ginnette Degner and Michael Marshall.

I continue to annually attend educational events such as the Ultra Advanced Workshops, WebmasterWorld Conferences, and Search Engine Strategy Expos.

I am an active member of Stompernet.

Web Site and/or Graphic Design Experience

I've been in the computer business since 1996, and dominated search for my chosen markets since 1999, starting with local computer repair, and today with "internet consulting" and other related phrases I'm on the front page nationally.

Technical Experience

I have experience working with .htm and .html pages, as well as .php, .asp, and all different types of sites and shopping carts. While I'm not a programmer myself, I can work my way around in the code, and this leads to more timely changes.

Typically however, my service does not include putting hands on your code, and I prefer to work with your existing designers, developers and marketing departments.

Search Commander does offer additional programming and design services, as related to Internet marketing.
