Traffic-Power.com and First Place 1P.com as of 2004-09-09

The Consortium have been notified this morning (2004-09-08T08:39:00-0700) that Traffic-Power.com out of Las Vegas, Nevada is now operating under another name of First Place or 1P.com. This has been confirmed by verifying Whois information and IP address.

As of 2004-09-09, there are a total of four pages on the www.1p.com website; Home, FAQ, Free Analysis and Client Login. All four pages contain a Robots META Tag of noindex,nofollow. This is most likely to show potential clients that they don't want that site indexed. This would negate any discussions about the website (1P.com) being banned by the search engines.

Admin Note: The Consortium have concluded that the change in telephone numbers was to eliminate the cross reference to Traffic-Power. The posting of the original Traffic-Power telephone numbers when the site first launched was more than likely a costly oversight on the designers end.

"Traffic Power's New Name - 1P

Beware! I received a phone call today from a company called 1P, First Place. I was very cautious because they showed up as Traffic Power on my caller ID. Right away I questioned the sales person. He said they had a name change. Quickly I told him that I did not wish to deal with him because of their history with their clients and their shady practices when they were Traffic Power. The sales person laughed and then hung up on me.

Just as a word of caution, beware of 1P (First Place) they are Traffic Power with a new name, same company and most likely the same practices. I should have let him go through his speech, so I could have found out some of their customers and if they are using the same shady practices."
